Mahindra has teased a new user interface called AdrenoX which will debut with the upcoming XUV700 SUV. This interface hooks up to Amazon’s Alexa virtual assistant enabling it to do things like open the sky roof and can also enable immersive 3D music using speech recognition. This is also the first official glimpse of the XUV700’s interior just hours after spy images of the car made it on the internet. The video also confirms the Mercedes-Benz style dual-screen set-up in the cabin.
In the teaser video, it is even revealed that it can change driving modes as per the preference of the user using again just speech. The video also gives a glimpse of what to expect with the XUV 700, which is tech-laden.
The video shows off a horizontally lined infotainment display which showcases the visual interface for AdrenoX and also a virtual instrument cluster.
So far Mahindra’s vehicles are lacking a lot of tech goodies that are even found in homegrown carmaker Tata. But the XUV 700 is set to change all of this as it also will reportedly come with some ADAS technology and will even give warning notifications for overspeeding.
The addition of Alexa will be big deal because it can do a plethora of things just using speech.
