Effects of PCOS and PCOD:
Females have two ovaries that release one egg after another every month. Very small amounts of male hormone androgens are also released from ovaries. In PCOD, ovaries usually increase in size and release large amounts of androgens, which creates problems for a woman’s fertility and her body. In this, owing to the release of too many immature or partially mature eggs, they eventually turn into cysts. Some common symptoms of this are stomach enlargement, irregular periods, hair loss like male and infertility.
