England’s Jason Roy has signed up with Sunrisers Hyderabad as a replacement for Mitchell Marsh for the forthcoming edition of the IPL, according to a media release.
Marsh, who has played 21 IPL games since his debut in 2010, made himself unavailable for the entire season owing to personal reasons.
Roy made his IPL debut in 2017 for Gujarat Lions and later featured for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in the 2018 edition. He has played a total of eight matches and scored 179 runs with one half-century.
Sunrisers Hyderabad have acquired Roy at his base price of ₹2 crore.
